Bonjour-Hi!
My name is Bruno St-Jacques and this is my blog. I’m a political scientist currently working in research and communications at a think tank in Berlin. I created this blog to synthesise and document what I am learning through my exploration of the wonderful world of data analysis and data visualisation. I also hope it can be interesting and/or useful to people visiting the page.
My educational training is in political science, where I have focused on the links between governance, sustainability and technology. With some (limited) previous background in statistical methods, I have started using R about a year ago and have been very enthusiastic about it ever since. This blog will reflect my learning process, and any feedback helping me to improve my code, design or workflow will be truly appreciated!
I am also an organiser of sound, both through music production/composition and deejaying. Most of my output is released on a small record label I am running with some friends, Pinewax.
Quick note on syntax: throughout the blog, references/links to R packages are displayed in blue, and normal URLs in red.
